Reiki The Dempsey Center is pleased to offer reiki treatments as part of its Wellness Services. Reiki is an ancient healing method that influences energy flow in the body. Educated, experienced reiki practitioners will provide the sessions. What is Reiki? Reiki is a gentle hands-on technique designed to relieve stress and discomfort. Clients are encouraged to relax, fully clothed, as a practitioner's hands are lightly placed on the head, shoulders, arms, legs and back. We encourage reiki along with the treatments and medications prescribed by your doctor. Reiki is not a substitute for your regular medical care. All you have to do is relax Get comfortable and imagine yourself relaxing. Close your eyes, take a few deep breaths and let your mind wander. How does it work? Reiki practitioners work with healthy energy channeled from the universe which helps to balance and clear your energy system. Reiki practitioners gently place their hands on or near your body and sense the flow of energy. A session usually lasts about 30 minutes. How much does it cost?
