The American Cancer Society resource center includes comprehensive information about all different types of cancer, including the latest treatment options. ACS offers a number of patient assistance and support programs.

Eleven year old Jon Wagner-Holtz established kids Konnected in 1993 after his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Kids Konnected was developed on the premise that when a parent gets cancer, the entire family is affected and the needs of the children must be addressed. Their programs started in California and soon spread nationwide.

The Lance Armstrong Foundation believes that in the fight against cancer, unity is strength, knowledge is power, and attitude is everything. A national voluntary health agency whose mission is dedicated to finding a cure for leukemia and related cancers, and to improving the quality of life for people affected by leukemia. The site offers education, research, and patient services. LLSA has a financial assistance program for patients as well as a peer connection program.
