Profiles of Commitment

Carolyn Dube, R.N.

By: Sue Rivet, R.N.
Director of Oncology and Outpatient Services
Bridgton Hospital, CMMF

Carolyn DubeCarolyn Dube, R.N., began her career in oncology at Maine Medical Center in 1994 and joined Bridgton Hospital Oncology Outpatient Clinic in September of 2004. Carolyn is a 1994 graduate of Southern Maine Community College. She resides in Raymond, Maine with her husband Frank and daughter Janessa. She has two sons, Jared and Joel. Joel is currently serving in the Army and is on tour in Iraq.

The foundation of Carolyn’s nursing practice is empathy, compassion and courtesy in a comprehensive, holistic approach that meets patients’ needs as a whole person. Carolyn’s ambition and resilience motivates patients to focus on their spirit and not just their disease. Her caring attitude and laughter with patients gives strength to the mind, heart, spirit and their overall well being. Her genuine attitude and uplifting approach has earned her the nickname “Bubbles”.

Carolyn's reason for oncology nursing is her enjoyment in nurturing patients with cancer. Carolyn states, “I enjoy bringing hope and laughter and turning a dark day into brightness. Cancer patients are a special group of individuals that have a new outlook on life, and I enjoy being there for them as they take their journey. I enjoy working in a small rural hospital with the feeling of "family" and the ability to weave together all aspects of care and provide the patient with the best quality of life.”
