DESCRIPTION:Henna is a natural\, plant-based art form with a long history across cultures as a symbol of beauty\, healing\, and self-expression. In this workshop\, you are invited to receive a custom henna crown (for those with bald heads) or body adornment (commonly on the hands or forearms) as a way to honor your experience and reconnect with your sense of self. Whether you’re navigating hair loss\, celebrating your body\, or simply seeking a meaningful moment of care\, henna offers a gentle\, creative way to express strength\, identity\, and renewal. Designs are temporary and typically last 1–2 weeks\, gradually fading over time.\nEach participant will have a private 25-minute session with the artist to create a design that feels personal and empowering.\nOpen to Dempsey Center clients with a cancer diagnosis.
