DESCRIPTION:Presented by Seacoast Hand Therapy\, this workshop explores the potential long-term soft tissue aftereffects of cancer treatment\, with a focus on Radiation Fibrosis Syndrome and Axillary Web Syndrome (aka cording). Participants will learn about risk reduction strategies\, explore options for short-term relief\, identify changes they may already be noticing\, and gain tools for lifelong management.\n\nOpen to Dempsey Center clients with a cancer diagnosis at any stage. \n\nLed by June Leary\, PT DPT\, Certified Lymphedema Therapist\n \nThis program will have an in-person and virtual audience. SUMMARY:Holding Both: A Care Partner Support Group Series [Rock Row]
DESCRIPTION:Caring for someone with cancer often means two truths live side-by-side: you can feel grateful and sad\, hopeful and scared\, joyful and angry—sometimes in the very same moment. In this 10-week peer support group for adult care partners\, we’ll make room for the full emotional range of caregiving without judgment. Each 75-minute session will focus on a core theme—Uncertainty\, Burnout\, Meaning\, Emotions\, Identity\, and more—using open discussion prompts to invite reflection\, shared understanding\, and connection with others who “get it.” \nLed by Erin King\, LCSW\, OSW-C\, CGP \nOpen to all adult Dempsey Center care partner clients. \nNo group Friday\, April 24th.
