The students of the Great Falls Academy of Modern Music spend their year taking lessons on a variety of instruments, including voice. Every summer, GFAMM hosts a 6-week program of lessons, giving students the chance to choose what music they’d like to learn and perform. They spend the weeks learning how to play what they’ve chosen, and the program ends with a performance at the Franco Center. Add to this the fact that GFAMM Owner & Founder Brian Gagnon is also captain of the Positive Tracks Team Down with Disease, and kids are encouraged to join the team, and to use their skills and talents to perform and raise money to benefit others at the Dempsey Center. Most of the kids will participate in the Challenge itself in October, but will also raise money through raffles at several concerts. This year, the music being performed is by such artists as Ed Sheeran, Billy Joel, Frank Sinatra, The Black Crowes, The Weeknd, Traffic, and others.
