Incontinence and Prostate Cancer – Lewiston

Many men have urinary incontinence after treatment for prostate cancer. If you have this problem, you are not alone.

Incontinence may only last a short time. In time, the muscles that control the passing of urine can get strong enough to control urination again. But incontinence can also be a long-term side effect of cancer treatment.

This presentation will be an interactive lecture, focusing on an evidence-based approach to bladder symptoms and management.

About the Speaker: Jessica Russell, DPT earned a doctorate in physical therapy from Ithaca College in 2015. She is certified in the evaluation and treatment of the Pelvic Floor in which she has been treating men and women since 2017. In 2018, Jessica completed additional training as a part of the Saco Bay ReVital Cancer Rehabilitation program.

This presentation is open to prostate cancer patients, survivors and caregivers.
