OPEN POSITION: Client Services Assistant – Evening

POSITION: Administrative Assistance Volunteer – Evenings
DEPARTMENT: Front Office
SUPERVISOR: Volunteer Manager

Purpose of Position

The volunteer assigned to client services assistant provides services to enhance the client experience. This is accomplished by taking responsibility for completing administrative tasks in a timely and organized manner.

Commitment

Standard 4-hour weekly shifts; One year (renewable each year)
Evening shift: 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Regular Duties Include

  • Greet and welcome clients; directing inquiries to designated department
  • Sign-in clients for all programs (involves basic computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel)
  • Register clients for programs or schedule appointments either in person or by phone
  • Assist the Program Coordinator with program prep, room set up, and materials
  • Answer client questions as they arise, referring people to resources at the Center
  • Answer the phone and direct calls as needed, make calls for next day appointments; both service and program calls
  • Willingness to take on additional tasks such as mailings or other projects that may arise

  • Advanced computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office applications
