In order to ensure the health and safety of our clients, staff, and volunteers, when necessary, we’ll be shifting from in-person to virtual services—Dempsey Connects—for the month of January. For in-person services we will require proof of full vaccination with inclusion of booster for anyone eligible per the CDC guidelines.
If you’re unvaccinated by provider recommendation, you may provide us with a physician’s note in order to receive in-person services. For those with religious beliefs and practices that prevent vaccination, we will create accommodations.
All people entering the Center (clients, staff, volunteers, visitors) will be required to wear either a surgical or KN95 mask which will be available at the front desk of either Center.

The Director of Client Experience (DCX) is responsible for assessing, creating, and managing organization-wide structures that support the client-centered strategic initiatives. The DCX is responsible for supporting, enhancing, and continually improving the overall experience of all Dempsey Center Clients. Under the direction of the Chief Experience Officer, the DCX provides leadership for all programs, holds responsibilities for client care operations and budgets, and implementation of strategies within the Client Care Team.
The Marketing Lead executes the marketing and communications functions for the Dempsey Center, including our Dempsey Challenge event, and acts as a brand champion for the organization. This position is responsible for creating marketing + communication deliverables to advance the mission of the organization. This mission-motivated professional works closely with the Marketing + Communications Manager to implement a strategic marketing & communications plan for all areas of the Dempsey Center. This professional must be a strong collaborator, well-versed in marketing and design trends, possess professional judgement and discretion, and must be comfortable working across all mediums to enhance the Dempsey Centers’ reach.
The Oncology Massage Therapist is a Licensed Massage Therapist who provides therapeutic massage to Dempsey Center clients for the promotion of general wellness and the reduction of stress and pain. The Massage Therapist provides virtual and in-person classes and consultations.
The Oncology Nutritionist provides nutrition counseling and education to individuals impacted by cancer. In addition, the nutritionist designs and delivers nutrition and cooking demonstrations, co-manages the community garden program, and develops community partnerships with similar or complimentary organizations to enhance, expand and support the mission of the Dempsey Center.
