Overview
Henna is a natural, plant-based art form with a long history across cultures as a symbol of beauty, healing, and self-expression. In this workshop, you are invited to receive a custom henna crown (for those with bald heads) or body adornment (commonly on the hands or forearms) as a way to honor your experience and reconnect with your sense of self. Whether you’re navigating hair loss, celebrating your body, or simply seeking a meaningful moment of care, henna offers a gentle, creative way to express strength, identity, and renewal. Designs are temporary and typically last 1–2 weeks, gradually fading over time.
Each participant will have a private 25-minute session with the artist to create a design that feels personal and empowering.
Open to Dempsey Center clients with a cancer diagnosis. All genders welcome. Limited to 6 sessions.Henna art provided by Mary Numme of The Eye of Henna and 13 Moons Tattoo.
