Teen Tie-Dye Family Night [Lewiston]

July 22 @ 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm EDT

Overview

The beauty of tie-dye is that it doesn’t care about codes or norms and lets anyone express their true colors. It’s a completely free form of expression that allows you to create a unique piece of wearable art and find the beauty in the ripple effect of small imperfections. The therapeutic benefits of tie-dye include focusing on planning, acceptance and releasing control. Experiencing it all by joining us and other teens and their parents/caregivers impacted by cancer for a fun evening of tie-dyeing!
Plain white t-shirts will be provided for those who pre-register. Teens planning to attend Space to Breathe may choose to tie-dye their camp shirt in preparation for camp or families can tie-dye shirts for the Dempsey Challenge. Participants can also bring their own clean and light-colored items you may wish to tie-dye including hair scrunchies, scarves or clothing, etc., or something to create a gift for others.
