A Resource for Your Patients—and Their Loved Ones
Cancer care doesn’t end when a patient leaves the exam room. A cancer diagnosis can affect every part of a person’s life—and the lives of the people who care for them.
The Dempsey Center can provide another layer of support alongside the medical care you provide—helping people feel supported not only as patients, but as whole people.
Our no-cost services complement traditional medical treatment by addressing the emotional, physical, and practical challenges that can accompany cancer. Through counseling, support groups, integrative therapies, movement, nutrition, education, and more, we help patients, survivors, care partners, and loved ones feel supported throughout the cancer journey.
How You Can Help
You know your patients best. You may notice when someone needs additional support with anxiety, stress, relationships, physical well-being, caregiving, survivorship, grief, or simply navigating life with cancer.
A simple recommendation can be the first step toward helping someone find the support they need. To help your patients find us, you can:
- Talk with patients and their loved ones about the emotional and physical impact of cancer beyond medical treatment.
- Share information about Dempsey Center services and encourage patients or care partners to connect with us.
- Include the Dempsey Center as part of your supportive care resources.
- Connect with our team to learn more about our programs and how we can support the people you serve.
