Overview
Craft a Bouquet that Tells a Story! Flowers have long been used to express what words sometimes cannot—joy, gratitude, love, remembrance, hope, and care. In this creative and reflective workshop, participants will explore the rich symbolism of flowers and the ways they help us honor our experiences, relationships, and emotions.
Together, we will discuss the “Language of Flowers” and how blooms have served as meaningful messengers across cultures and generations. Participants will use a flower meanings guide and have the opportunity to create a small bouquet that reflects a personal story, intention, or message for themselves or someone special.
Flowers and crafting materials will be provided, with many blooms lovingly harvested from the Dempsey Gardens. This workshop offers a gentle opportunity for creativity, reflection, and connection.
Optional: Participants are welcome to bring small items that hold personal meaning, such as mini vases, photographs, poetry, charms, or other keepsakes to incorporate into their floral creation.
No floral design experience is needed—just a willingness to explore, create, and connect.
Open to adult Dempsey Center clients.
Led by Tricia Gilbert and volunteer, Glenys Sayward.
